Overview:
As Marketing Manager you will be responsible for supporting executive management and studio leadership in marketing services, as well as in business development activities. In this key role, you will manage overall workflow and processes within marketing and business development activities. You will be responsible for proactively acquiring and developing materials to be used in both business development and general marketing activities. You will oversee the execution of all initiatives, including Web site evolution and maintenance, as well as other promotional activities. The position reports to the Vice President, Client Services.
Description of Duties:
- Lead, manage, develop, and implement corporate marketing functions; support and enable business development efforts, especially in responding to Requests for Information/Proposals.
- Understand market trends to influence marketing and new business activities in light of these market trends.
- Proactively oversee and drive continual development of a business development electronic content library, consisting of case studies, work examples, sample deliverables, and archived pitch presentations and proposals. Facilitates regular interaction with service delivery teams to ensure the constant evolution and growth of materials within the content library.
- Support business development and marketing teams comprised of individuals from appropriate other departments (i.e., Creative, Strategy, Technology, etc).
- Support cross-functional teams in developing proposals, pitch presentations, marketing materials, and any other materials for prospective clients.
- Ensure teams are knowledgeable about client(s), products, therapeutic categories, and so forth, as defined by a particular new business opportunity; if necessary, work with external parties to do so.
- Oversee ongoing Website development and any other interactive promotional activity, along with all other appropriate promotional activities (i.e. printed materials, advertisements, conference participation, public relations, corporate communications), working with marketing and communications functions, as necessary. Develop annual marketing plan with executive management and manage successful execution of that plan.
- Participate in new business and marketing presentations if needed and appropriate.
- Assume other duties as reasonably assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field (marketing, business, advertising, communications).
- 3 +/- years marketing experience; previous agency experience and/or a minimum of 1 - 2 years in marketing professional services is preferred; experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare, as well as in interactive/advertising/public relations is desirable.
- Firm understanding of marketing promotions across traditional as well as interactive channels.
- Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal/people management skills, within indirect, team-oriented settings.
- Solid presentation skills and understanding of presentation dynamics.
- Pharmaceutical/Healthcare experience/knowledge a plus.
