Project Responsibilities
The Program Director will implement assigned projects from beginning to end, including communication as needed with contacts at funding sources, education partners, associations and other CME collaborators, faculty, and internal team members. It is expected that the Program Director will simultaneously develop and execute multiple activities from start to finish. Program Director should have experience in executing diverse tactics including symposia, dinner meetings, journal articles and supplements, web-based activities, PowerPoint presentations, multimedia CD-ROMs, monographs, etc.
The Program Director will collaborate with his/her supervisor to finalize educational need, learning objectives and desired outcomes with faculty and to obtain guidance as needed throughout project implementation. The Program Director will communicate regularly with his/her supervisor regarding the status of assigned projects in relation to budget, timing, and workload. The Program Director will use good judgment regarding the expenditure of time and OOPs and will regularly monitor such expenditures against billing worksheets to assure that assigned projects remain on budget.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of healthcare communications experience
- 4+ years of medical education experience, including project management, funder and faculty interaction, and thorough knowledge of multimedia teaching methods
- Knowledge of CME rules and requirements as well as trends in CME industry
- Strong tactical execution skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills as well as creativity
- Team orientation and ability to multi-task
- Supervisory skills a must
