The Director, Business Development has global responsibility for managing clients’ marketing communications programs from concept development through program delivery, assuring that clients’ objectives are met in terms of program quality and on-time delivery. The Director, Business Development develops business relationships in order to meet company and department goals and objectives for our medical communications initiatives. The Director will target high priority accounts, concentrating efforts where ROI is the greatest. In this position, you will identify target customers, markets, and services and match those to the company’s capabilities, while developing ongoing professional relationships. As Director, Business Development you will prepare and facilitate proposals to customers.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years experience in business development, including some expertise in the pharmaceutical industry
- Must have Medical Communications or Medical Education industry experience
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred. Master’s Degree a plus
- Superior sales, communication, and presentation skills are required
- Ability to travel overnight on a regular basis, as business needs require
