Company Summary:
Our client is a tactical medical education agency that services strategic development and implementation of long-term medical education programs for the pharmaceutical industry. Company will be relocating to North Central New Jersey in November.
Description:
Edit and proofread PowerPoint slides,CD-ROMs, printed materials (newsletters, brochures monographs, posters, etc.), and sales proposals. Review CD-ROMs, audio files, and transcripts for accuracy and consistency.
Competencies:
- Communication skills - ability to work closely with internal teams
- High organization skills. Being able to manage more than one program with multiple deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task, work in a service environment and manage projects within an allotted budget
- Edit and proofread PowerPoint slides,CD-ROMs, printed materials (newsletters, brochures monographs, posters, etc.), and sales proposals
- Review CD-ROMs, audio files, and transcripts for accuracy and consistency
- Develop content, such as bios and abstracts
- Perform online research as necessary
- Order references and manage reference database
- Obtain and track permissions
- Work closely with project managers and Medical Affairs team
- Excellent copyediting skills.
- Excellent proofreading skills.
- Background in medicine or pharmaceuticals preferred.
- Proficiency in AMA style
- Familiarity with CME regulations.
- Proficiency in Website research, including Pub Med searches.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint for PC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized and proactive team player capable of working independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years editorial experience.
