Major Function:
This position is responsible for the management of the Scientific Affairs department. Duties include: Formulating and recommending policies and objectives for SA, evaluates organizational structure and staffing requirements, ensures best in class content development and product offerings. Developing and maintaining partner relationships with faculty, clients, associations, etc.
Essential Functions:
- Develop (assign/reassign) SA team structure to support current business needs.
- Develops and maintenances relationships with our CME partners.
- Develops and evaluates relationships with freelance writing support.
- Conducts regular interdepartmental and team meetings to ensure communications and progress project.
- Quality controls content for all projects.
- Develop and maintains relationships with clients.
- Liaison with Consultant Specialist and team in the formulation of product offerings.
- Provides budgeting support for estimated editorial/scientific fee and out-of-pockets.
- Supports Consultant Specialist team with pitch development and presentation.
- Responsible for managing/supervising SA team.
- Responsible for the career development, approval process and execution of direct report 360 performance evaluations.
- Develop and maintains an effective organization through training and assignment of personnel.
- Execution of staffing changes as needed to fit the business (hiring/firing).
- Strong written skills and understanding of AMA style requirements.
- Promotional and CME/CE experience.
- Detail oriented, well-organized and strong multitasking skills.
- Supervisor interpersonal abilities that can manage diverse personalities, tactfully and maturely.

- Advance degree (PharmD, RPh, or MD) with 7 to ten years experience and/or training in pharmaceutical marketing, medical education or advertising, and CME/CE.
