Job Summary:
Responsible for the overall management and continuous growth of the organization’s Speakers Bureau business. Ensures flawless execution of programs including compliance to guidelines and superior customer service to clients, funders, and faculty.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Ensures overall quality control throughout the department through constant monitoring and measurement of programs.
- Contacts potential clients and funders to forge relationships and facilitate new business opportunities.
- Collaborates with account teams to build Speakers Bureau business. Presents Speakers Bureau capabilities and proposals to existing and potential clients.
- Responsible for increasing profitability of the Speakers Bureau; top and bottom line.
- Identifies new and improved methods of providing service, creating a competitive advantage.
- Develops and builds relationships with district and regional program managers for program status and evaluations.
- Partners with faculty account managers concerning faculty recruitment and logistics and develops relationships with clinical specialists.
- Trains and manages staff to ensure flawless execution of programs, knowledge of program curriculum and Continuing Medical Education (CME)/CPE/nursing guidelines.
- Identifies and recommends resources that will ensure efficient operations and support to the department.
- Keeps current on new technology that will support and ensure efficiency within the department. Makes recommendations as necessary.
- Manages and supervises several positions within the department. Collaborates with setting goals and objectives, monitors progress, assists with performance development and measures job performance. Maintains open performance and development communication; encouraging growth.
- Performs other duties as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree; graduate degree a plus
- Prior management experience within a service industry
- Prior P&L responsibility
- Prior customer service or pharmaceutical sales experience a plus
- Knowledge of healthcare/pharmaceutical industry
- Highly motivated and able to lead and motivate others
