Our client currently has an opportunity for a Project Manager to help their strong team and their current pharmaceutical business.
General Summary
This person will be responsible for overseeing and executing all types of medical education and communications projects, including speaker training meetings, advisory boards, interactive media (DVD and upfront development of program components), coach and develop team members, assist in budget development and the ability to create and manage timelines.
Fundamental Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages and develops a team that may consist of 1 to 2 Senior Project Coordinator, and/or Project Coordinator.
- Provides clear direction to team members in the implementation of their day-to-day activities for assigned projects to ensure successful execution.
- Has full accountability on all projects from implementation through final delivery as assigned. This includes Speaker Training and Advisory Boards.
- Coordinates with Account Director and scientific staff for faculty identification and recruitment, content development, and to ensure project deliverables are aligned with proposal requirements.
- Builds relationships with internal resource groups and vendors; participates in vendor management and evaluation as requested.
- Maintains fiscal responsibility for assigned projects by working within approved budgets, tracking expenses, timely submission of invoices, and proactively communicating potential over and under spending.
- Moderate travel required according to business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Two (2) plus years experience in managing a staff.
- Three (3) years experience in project management related to medical education programs with the pharmaceutical industry.
- Project management experience in the following areas: Interactive Media (DVDs, Webcasts, etc.), Advisory Boards, Speaker Training Meetings, Promotional Slide Kits or Consultant Meetings.
- Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills (oral, written, and telephone).
- Knowledge and understanding of ACCME guidelines, OIG guidelines, and PhRMA.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and manage a high volume of competing priorities across projects, suggests to supervisor workload allocation needs to meet priorities.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and have complete responsibility for assigned projects.
