Description:
Our client is looking for an outstanding individual to become part of their team of skilled professionals in the area of Educational Outcomes Measurement (EOM). We also want this individual to be able to contribute on a larger scale to the proposing and development of effective CME for physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.
Position Responsibilities:
- Work with team members to plan, implement and manage EOM studies from proposal to impact study reports
- Interpret data and develop reports for EOM projects to demonstrate knowledge acquisition and/or applied learning of educational metrics regarding reach and potential impact on patient health
- Perform statistical analysis on data supplied through tests and evaluations
- Serve as an interviewer with learners/faculty post-activity for projects as a means to gauge educational impact
- Conduct year-end data analysis and report findings to management
- Contribute to assigned RFPs and grant proposals
- Participate in joint or co- sponsorships (independent of our VFN) so that our partners can be given guidance on compliance processes for developing and implementing CE activities.
- Attend professional development courses at CE meetings.
- Maximize use of technology in the CE department. Investigate and (where approved) implement more efficient ways of doing the CE office work using technology
- Liaise with other departments to improve relations and facilitate communication between CME dept and others. This includes working with the internal advisory committee and the external advisory board.
- Be an interface between account service teams and the CE office in explaining/completing the activity certification process.
- Assist with academic endeavors- creating documents for presentations and talks.
- Conducting trainings with teams and departments as required to keep everyone aware of CE rules and the best ways of implementing them.
- Update all CE documents on the server as necessary
- Schedule and assist with the running of the monthly CME internal advisory committee
- An analytical mind set; is data driven with strong and consistent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven report writing abilities (provide samples)
- Ability to meet deadlines
- An intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- BS/MS/MSc/MPH with experience in a health-related field, including analytic/quantitative coursework or career experience
- Knowledge of analytical methods
- Pluses: Experience with continuing education for healthcare professionals; familiarity with, educational research design; knowledge of adult learning principles; knowledge of analytical methods; understanding of SPSS and/or other database systems
- Worked in a clinical setting or in a healthcare environment
- Led or participated in the Quality Improvement Department of a hospital
- A nursing degree rather than an MPH
- A degree in educational psychology
